Is Your Diet Playing Tricks on Your Mind? Exploring Keto and Unusual Experiences

ketogenic diet.jpg

Have you ever heard your name called when no one was there? Or felt watched, only to turn and find no one? These are known as psychosis-like experiences—and they’re more common than you might think.

We’re inviting adults of any dietary background to take part in a short, anonymous study investigating whether following a ketogenic diet (a low-carb, high-fat way of eating) might influence how often people experience these unusual but harmless mental events.

✅ You can take part if:

  • You are 18 or older

  • You are following any type of diet

❌ Please do not take part if:

  • You are under 18

  • You have a diagnosed psychotic disorder (e.g., schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, severe depression with psychotic features)

The study takes about 10 minutes and involves a short survey about your diet, background, and mental health. Your responses are anonymous and stored securely.

By taking part, you’ll help researchers explore whether dietary choices like keto could influence mental experiences in everyday life—no medical condition required.

Curious? Join us and help shed light on the link between food and the mind.
