🍼 Food, Feelings & New Beginnings: How Diet May Influence Stress After Birth

Are you a new mum within 12 months of giving birth? We’re inviting you to take part in a short, anonymous survey exploring whether the quality of your diet could be linked to your stress levels during the postpartum period.

The weeks and months after childbirth are full of physical and emotional changes. Many new mothers experience heightened stress, but what if nutrition plays a role in how we cope? This study, run by a psychology student at Northumbria University, aims to better understand this connection—potentially helping mums manage stress more effectively through healthy eating.

✅ You can take part if:

  • You biologically identify as female

  • Are over 18

  • Have given birth within the past 12 months

  • Do not have a clinical diagnosis of anxiety or depression

The survey takes just 10–15 minutes and asks about your diet, wellbeing, birth experience, and social support. It’s completely anonymous, and your privacy is fully protected.

Your participation could help improve wellbeing advice for future mothers. We’d love to hear your experience.
