Mind Over Sugar: How Diabetes Might Influence Your Personality

We are inviting you to take part in a study exploring whether diabetes is linked to personality traits and psychosis-like experiences. Psychosis refers to experiences such as hearing voices or having unusual beliefs—surprisingly, these are more common in the general population than you might think. While they are often associated with conditions like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, many people without a clinical diagnosis report such experiences.
This anonymous online study takes around 10–15 minutes to complete and includes questions about your health, personality, and life experiences. You do not need to have diabetes to participate—we are interested in comparing responses from individuals with and without the condition.
You can take part if you:
-
Are 18 years or older
-
Please do not take part if you:
-
Are under 18
-
Have a diagnosis of a psychotic disorder (e.g., schizophrenia or bipolar disorder)
Participation is entirely voluntary, and you can withdraw your data at any point within two weeks using your unique code. All data will remain fully anonymous and confidential.
If you're interested in contributing to this important research, we’d love to hear from you.
